Book appointments

Once you have ordered or purchased your gown, and know it will need alterations (big or small) contact Isabel's Designs to book your appointments in advance. I like to see Brides at least two months before their wedding date, so the completed dress is ready one to three weeks before the wedding. Although I can complete a quick turnaround (one week) if openings are available.
It is a good idea for spring and summer brides to schedule early, as March to August fittings fill up quickly.

Fittings

Once we have set your fitting dates you will be given the address. You will need to bring the shoes you plan on wearing and any shape-wear, bra or bustier (if using, because they will affect the fit of your dress) along with your dress. I carry bra cups in multiple sizes as they can be the best solution for added support in a strapless dress. You will try on your dress and let me know all you want to have altered, including if you want to have a bustle added to tie up your train for dancing. If you have not yet found a veil, custom ones are available to try on and order.
At the first fitting I will give you a quote of the total alteration costs. Payment in full is due at the final fitting.

Final fitting

It is important to try on your altered dress at your final fitting. Bring your shoes to this appointment too. If you have a corset back dress I can teach a relative or friend how to lace you up if needed. It is also good to have someone with you if you have a bustle added so I can show them how to bustle your train.
